First things first - you should know I'm an open book.
My entire career built upon me coming into the most important day of a couples lives. I get to meet your families, learn your story and know your history. To me, it would seem a little silly if I didn't try ensure that relationship goes both ways.
So here is a little bit about me. As much as I can squish in to this little crash course.
But my loves, the offer always stands -
Ask me anything; I'd so look forward to becoming
old friends.
I grew up in Western Australia - Perth born and raised - and so unsurprisingly I love the summer heat and days at the beach - a sun chaser by all accounts! Working in events management in my early 20s I found myself travelling often and obsessed with waking up in new and unfamiliar places. I thrive in chaos as much as I do in routine - take me anywhere, throw me in any situation - I'll be right at home.
I love loud music and on a night out you'll always find me on the dance floor. Be it DnB, House, Old school 90s hits or some Reggaeton beats. I’m a yes girl, your hype babe and a dancing queen. I'm here for the vibes and absolutely love that wedding days descend into massive dance parties. Let's bottle that up, BBY.
My apartment is filled with poetry books, art on the walls, and a precious collection of house plants that we are all shocked have not perished under my care. I have a piano that lives in my sunroom, which is a thing of absolute beauty - warm wood tones set in dappled window light. I can play a total of zero songs in full, but mark my words, I'll get there. I've wanted to play as long as I can remember and have my heart set on some favourite compositions my none other than Ludovico Einaudi. Check back with me in another year. I have high expectations.
Rain on the windows, bold red wine, buttery Chardonnay, and triple creme brie that comes in those little wooden pots. Deep conversations, a record player, strong coffee, crepes on Sunday morning at my best friends house. These are just a few of my favourite things.
Your yes girl hype queen
I was actually a photographer before I was a videographer. I can’t say I was really shooting weddings.. honestly, I was floating around with little direction.
But I’d heard of this group called Common Folk - a networking community in the industry - and I decided to attend one of their evening workshops. Not because I was interested in the content - “Videography for Photographers” - blah! I had zero interest in video and more tech to learn - but simply because I wanted to meet others in the industry. This workshop was the next one on the calendar, so off I went. To meet people, that’s all.
But then I sat there. And I listened to two industry leaders speak about their work. They spoke about their passion, their love for film video. And they provided a blueprint for the tech foundations in approaching a wedding film. I was transfixed. It spoke to passions I think I had long ago buried within me. My childhood and teens were filled with camcorders and acting classes - I loved film, I loved movies, I loved storytelling. I think at some point I had just become convinced that to be a filmmaker you had to be in Hollywood.
But sitting there listening to this passion? It lit a match for me. On a pile of gasoline. Seriously.
A lay awake for three nights straight. A thousand ideas running through my mind. I could feel it in my soul. This was what I was supposed to be doing.
That weekend I switched my camera over to video and filmed my folks making olive oil on their property.
Four months later I shot my first wedding.
That was 2018 and I haven’t slowed down since. Fully booked since late 2019 and a passion that only ever grows stronger in me.
I’m obsessed with filmmaking, and every year - every week, every film - I seek to level up. To feel that passion from that first night it all started, and channel it in to creating ART.
Your wedding is important to me. Really important.
And not in a "it's my job" kinda way.
In the way that I'm a girl who also wants to get married one day. That many of my closest friends have recently wed and I've been deeply involved in the process with them. I know what it feels like - to be close to the nerves, the weight of how special these moments will be, the knowledge that these are core memories in the making. Their weddings meant everything to me, and that sentiment has left a beautiful mark on me.
And so just as I have for my closest friends, so too will your wedding mean everything to me. I will approach it as if it is my own, caring deeply for every part of it. Because I really get it, and I'm so here for it.
If it's not obvious by now - I'm also a romantic. I'm sentimental, and I love what I do.
I'm passionate about the connections I make and about the things I create, so I want to feel connected to you and your day. I want to know and love any and all things about it.
Here for the Welcome Drinks all the way to the After Party
It's about being able to capture and translate memories in ways that evoke deeper emotions within us.
I’d say I’m a relatively intense person. Not necessarily on the outside, but in terms of feeling things..
I like feeling things intensely, passionately and completely.
So when I experience a moment and film it, I want everyone to feel it in the same way it hit me. With video, I feel I can do that. I can show you the moment, and translate it with sound and colour and rhythm and soul so that it wraps you up in the emotion that I know these moments hold.
In making a film I believe we can feel even more than what we felt in the moment alone - I can make it feel like everything it represents. It’s history and potential and legacy. Moments that are laced with everything that has meaning to those within it, their story and their love, woven together and bought to life.
I love the challenge that presents. The quest.
And the satisfaction of finishing each film and knowing that feeling can live forever.

"Where do I even start!? Emily was the best money we spent on our entire wedding day.
She was professional, energetic, and super creative. She captured out theme and tone, and paired it perfectly with music, speeches, humour and a whole lotta love.
We will have this amazing piece of our special day with us forever and we would recommend Emily to absolutely anyone and everyone."

"Emily is truly THE videographer.
Not only was she authentic and approachable in all of our emails and chats leading up to the big day - she arrived and slotted in like one of the party straight away. We loved her creative direction that still allowed us to be natural but made sure we didn’t ever look awkward!
If you're looking for a vibrant, professional, enthusiastic presence at your wedding that creates a poetic love story through film - Life Atlas is your girl."
